Magnificent
This recording offers much better sound quality that the other recent caspian shows in the Archive, and the performance is also top quality. I'll dare to assert that caspian is one of the most interesting bands to emerge in recent years, with carefully composed instrumentals that invite the listener into vast glowing spaces. Their music might be called "math rock" or "post-rock" if you care for those labels. Or, if you remember Hawkwind and even Syd Barrett's original Pink Floyd, caspian may represent a direction in which that music could have developed (but didn't).
Notes
This is a SBD/AUD mix. Both, the mic recording and the soundboard capture turned out great. Mixing the both was a pain because the NJB3 recording runs at a different pace than the LS-10's, but I somehow managed to blend the stuff togehter and this is the result. Enjoy this recording and see Caspian whenever you can!
